John M. Dillon, of Redford Township, died September 18 at the age of 86. He was a graduate of the University of Detroit Law School, and was the longest-serving district judge in Redford Township history. He is survived by his wife Janet; daughters Marybeth Dillon Butler and Maureen Dillon Egan; sons John Jr. and Andrew; and 14 grandchildren. His son Andrew (Andy), also a member of the State Bar, is the Michigan State treasurer and former Speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m.. Friday at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 302000 Five Mile, in Livonia. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Valentine Catholic Church, 14841 Beech Daly.
