The Washington Post reports that in off-hand remarks at a townhall at BInghamton University, the President chose sides in the growing debate about how to decrease the cost of legal education, and whether the three-year path to a degree can be shortened. He said:
This is probably controversial to say, but what the heck? I’m in my second term, so I can say it. I believe, for example, that law schools would probably be wise to think about being two years instead of three years.
