California July Bar Exam Easier To Pass This Year Than Michigan's

With the precipitous drop in Michigan's July bar passage rate to 54.7%, one couldn't help but wonder if this was the year when Michigan would be a tougher bar exam state than the notoriously difficult California. And the answer, it turns out, is yes.  California's passage rate for the July bar this year was 55.3%.  Michigan's first-time taker pass rate was 62%; California's 68%.
