Edward A. Quinnell, of Marquette, died June 23, at the age of 80. A 1956 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Judge Quinnell practiced with his father, then served as Marquette County Prosecutor and as a United States Bankruptcy Referee before being elected to the Marquette County Circuit Court. Upon his retirement from the bench in 1998 he practiced with his son, Timothy, who now serves on the Marquette Circuit Court. In addition to Timothy, Judge Quinnell is survived by his wife Sandra, sons Steven and Bruce; stepson Richard Wester; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Marion Hotchkiss; brother George; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials may be directed to the Marquette Symphony Orchestra.
