University of Detroit Mercy School of Law has moved its 10 legal clinics into a historic fire station next to the school, and the National Law Journal is impressed. The move is a major upgrade in the law school's clinical facilities. The interior space of the building has been renovated, but the school was able to maintain many of the original elements of the building, including its lookout tower. Dean Lloyd Semple lamented that, sadly, the school was not able to salvage the three original fire poles.
