Newly-confirmed judge of Michigan's Eastern District federal court, the Hon. Terrence Berg, nominated in April by President Obama, gets a nice tribute from Orin Kerr, on the libertarian/conservative legal blog Volokh Conspiracy:
I was delighted to see that Terry Berg was recently confirmed by the Senate for a federal district court judgeship at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. I worked with Terry a decade or so ago when he was head of the Michigan Attorney General’s High Tech Crimes Unit and he was detailed to the computer crime section at DOJ. I think he’ll be an excellent judge.
