Clark Calvin Griffith, a 70-year former adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law and son of a former owner of the Minnesota Twins, has taken a plea deal on charges of indecent exposure to a student with whom he met to discuss her participation in a legal clinic. ABA Journal reports that his explanation prompted the district court judge in the case to ask, "Are you kidding me? Come on, Mr. Griffith."
Griffith has agreed to pay a $500 fine, stay away from the student, and complete sex offender treatment. If he complies, the case will be dismissed, according to the Pioneer Press. He now faces disciplinary action, says the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
