Updated: Censured Judge Wade McCree, Jr. Subject of New Scandal Story

Charlie LeDuff is the reporter of a story at Fox2News about Wayne County circuit judge Wade H. McCree.  In October, at the recommendation of the Judiciary Tenure Commission, the Michigan Supreme Court ordered the public censure (PDF) of Judge McCree, pursuant to a settlement agreement. The LeDuff story alleges, among other things, that Judge McCree had a sexual relationship with a woman who was a party in a child support case in his court, that the woman is now pregnant, and that the story came to light when Judge McCree went to the Wayne County prosecutor claiming the woman was stalking and extorting him. The Free Press has subsequently reported that the Wayne County Prosecutor's office has filed a statement that it  won’t charge the woman who is the subject of the McDuff story and that "the entire matter is being referred to the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission.”
