According to The Faculty Lounge, the Law School Admissions Council has reported that the number of people sitting for the October 2012 LSAT dropped over 16% from October 2011, with the number of first-timer takers falling about 18%. This result continues a two-year trend. Meanwhile, 51% of the 123 law schools responding to a Kaplan Test Prep survey report reducing the size of their incoming classes, and 28% of those who have not yet done so say they are likely to do so in the admissions cycle now underway.
