According to the latest report of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, an upbeat jobs report includes good news for lawyers. After losing 1,800 legal jobs in December, the industry picked up 1,000 jobs in January. Overall, reports WSJ Law Blog, the legal services industry has stabilized since its loss of nearly 42,000 jobs (almost exactly the number of licensed lawyers in Michigan) in 2009.
