In support of the proposition that if you analyze any two things carefully enough you will find fascinating similarities, a new book, “The Secret Life of Pronouns,” says that the differences in lyrics by Lennon/McCartney compared to the songwriting of Lennon and McCartney individually resembles the writing style differences of Hamilton/Madison in the Federalist Papers compared to the writing of Hamilton and Madison in other compositions. The 15 Lennon/McCartney songs, the book's author says according to a NYT review, were “much more positive” in emotional tone and used “more I-words, fewer we-words and much shorter words than either artist normally used on his own.”
