How best to inform bar applicants of the results of the bar exam expeditiously and sensitively is a ticklish question, and different jurisdictions come up with different answers. The Lawyerist called attention to the faux-fey notification method the state of Louisiana has adopted. Apparently, fake names are assigned to each Louisiana bar applicant, and that's the list that's used for online publication of the list of takers who are not successful. For example, from last February's bar results:
Bar Exam Results
FailFictitious First and Last Name Letters and Numbers
Able Aardvark AA 369
Marilla Applejack KC 135
Punky Brewster CW 248
Star Bright SB 156
