Attention Open Source Fans: A Free Office Productivity Suite

Don't take our word for it (we've not tried it), but Slaw's David Bilinsky, a truly sophisticated user, is crazy about this free suite of office software: LibreOffice.  Ir runs under Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux and it includes, among other things, a word processor, a spreadsheet, a presentation application, a drawing application,  presentation tools, and a database . (Bilinsky says that the only thing that it does not offer is an email/calendar application similar to MS Outlook.)  The details are here.
