In a political bombshell, the clerk in a Republican stronghold released new vote totals adding a net total of 7,582 new votes in the tight state Supreme Court race to Justice David Prosser, swinging the race significantly in his favor
The corrected vote totals from Waukesha County could push the total far enough toward Justice Prosser that a free recount would no longer be available to his Democratic challenger, who the morning after the election held an unofficial 204-vote lead out of nearly 1.5 million votes cast.
