Ann Arbor.com, reporting on this year's Wolverine football banquet, finds this 'light-hearted' moment when Coach Rodriguez introduced Zac Ciullo, who will be a 1L at Michigan Law School next year:
“I’ve already used all the attorneys I need,” said Rodriguez, whose legal team has faced entanglements over his West Virginia contract, a failed real-estate investment and an NCAA investigation in the past three years.
“I hope I never need to use him.”
Ciullo offered one of the more stirring speeches of the night, delivered by the 21 departing seniors.
“I recently heard from fans and friends that Michigan will be great again one day,” he said. “In my opinion, Michigan never stopped being great.”
After Ciullo finished, Rodriguez retook the podium.
“Wow, he’s good,” he said, again drawing chuckles. “I could have used you.”
