What to Wear for Your Supreme Court Interview

On the one hand, this is a totally frivolous post, alerting you to the fact that Above the Law has noticed that Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Justice-presumptive Elena Kagan chose virtually identical outfits for the first day of their confirmation hearings -- "an electric blue blazer over a black blouse."  (ATL even turns the observation into a contest, asking readers to vote on "who wore it better".)  On the other hand, a more serious observation is in order: that the broader range of choices available to women in attire and the heightened attention to those choices is reason #137 why being a female professional is complicated.  Substance, everyone, substance.
