SBM Blog disdains rankings of law schools and law firms as simplistic, pernicious, and misleading to the public. Nevertheless, we are compelled to note that the University of Michigan law school has been ranked by SubtleDigg by as the #7 party law school in the country. Why violate our principle for this particular ranking? Because it doesn't pretend to be more than it is -- stupid and lighthearted. No other law school in Michigan made the top 102.

It makes sense to me that elite schools like Harvard and Stanford are ranked so highly (Yale’s just out of the top tier, it’s ranked #17). Students there don’t have to worry about the recession quite as much as students at other schools. Less worrying about their broken future = more partying.
